Resident in Counseling

Leah Woodard

Healing begins when we feel safe to explore our story, grow through compassion, and reconnect with hope and purpose

Hello, I’m Leah.

With a focus on creating a compassionate and faith-sensitive environment, I am dedicated to helping individuals and families find healing, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges. My approach is rooted in empathy, trust, and clinical excellence, with a heart for supporting those who have experienced trauma or are walking through difficult seasons. It is an honor to walk alongside you as you discover strength, restoration, and renewed purpose.

My background & approach

As a Resident in Counseling, my goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Whether you're seeking healing from trauma, navigating anxiety or depression, or working through a difficult season of life, I am here to walk alongside you with compassion and care. Together, we will work toward the personal and relational goals that matter most to you.

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced complex trauma, as well as those facing challenges related to mood disorders, life transitions, and emotional regulation. I believe healing happens when we address the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and I welcome the opportunity to incorporate faith into the counseling process for those who desire it.

My approach is rooted in empathy, trust, and connection. I draw from a range of clinical modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and art-based interventions to tailor our work to your unique needs.

I also believe that our experiences—both what happened to us and what may have been missing in early relationships—play a profound role in shaping how we see ourselves and others. It’s my privilege to support you in uncovering those patterns, building resilience, and moving toward a life of purpose, healing, and hope.
